Support from the local community has been critically important to the Hancock County Food Pantry since it first starting providing free food to Hancock County families back in 1986. If you wish to make a financial contribution, please see the “Making a Financial Donation” portion of this heading. Since the Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, your donation may be tax deductible depending on your individual tax situation. Donated food from community food drives is also important to the Food Pantry’s ability to help families. Approximately one third of the food the Food Pantry currently provides to families is donated food received from all sources. If you wish to host a food drive to benefit the Food Pantry, please see the “Hosting a Food Drive ” portion of this heading.
